...........Declined to receive comments from Darla Wynne on recreation. Although listed on the agenda during the public session, Wynne, running, entered the meeting approximately two minutes late. Following the opening prayer, the mayor proceeded to follow the agenda. When Wynne was not present, he moved on to committee reports.

After raising her hand and requesting permission to speak later in the meeting, the mayor declined Wynne's request. Wynne said she was told by the town attorney she could enter late. "I only wanted two minutes of your time," Wynne said.

Wynne expressed her displeasure with the mayor not allowing her to address council. As a citizen, she said she should be entitled to speak. Councilman Brunson said he saw no problem with the request. Councilman Stevenson said Wynne could present her comments at next month's meeting and the mayor thanked Wynne and said her comments would be recorded as information.
