QUITE A YEAR
By Christopher Blackwell

We started the year off by covering the pentacle quest for the VA headstones and the fight continues with two lawsuits. But one state stepped forward so that one veteran got his wish.

We moved on to the case of the Air Force Academy and religious harassment, watching as guidelines were created, watered down and then abolished. Further coverage exposed religious harassment of Pagans, along with other non-Christian faiths. Another story examined the dumbing down of military medicine from the perspective of a Pagan doctor cares enough to write a book about it.

Next on our plate was the story of Indians taking part in environmental work and land wars up in Canada. The battle continues. As does the Greek Pagans’ fight for religious freedom and their first court win. It still will require a change in the Greek constitution.

Eric, an Army medic on the front lines, contributed several articles and a personal perspective on war and being a Pagan soldier He is home, but continuing to help Pagans still fighting the war.

Finally we covered the activities of several Pagan organizations that show that Pagans fight for their rights -- not just beg for them. We then caught up with an old friend and came to the beginning of ACTION’s third year. Now 2006 is coming to an end and we are looking forward to 2007.

Thank you all for coming along for the ride. This is your newsletter and the team here never forgets it.
